I had to exams today and I am honeslty so worried about how they went but I finally have some free time without having to study so I am slightly relieved.
So now I am going to talk about something I love. I love food. And not (just) in a I love to eat kind of way. I love to cook and read cookbooks. I read cookbooks the way other people read novels. The Food Network is my life. So I figured I'd share my favorite cookbooks with all of you wonderful people!!

The Real Girls Kitchen, by Haylie Duff is a great cookbook filled with fresh and clean cooking. My favourite part is though, is Haylie tells personal stories from her life, about her sister, Hilary, and there are great, personal pictures. The oven s'mores and watermelon & feta salad are amazing.
Mastering the Art of French Cooking, by Julia Child, Louisette Bertholle, and Simone Beck, is an absolute classic. If you've ever watched the movie Julie and Julia, this is the book Julie cooks from. It's an intimadating book for sure and I haven't cooked much from it but I've read through it multiple times.

When I'm in the mood for baking, I turn to Anna Olsen. I have two of her dessert books called Sugar and Another Cup of Sugar. I adore Anna she is the nicest person ever! And has signed all the cookbooks I have from her. I showed one below.

How sweet is she! I fangirl everytime I see her. Such good advice too!
Sushi Slim by Makiko Sano is an amazing book. It is all about how eating Japanese food can help you live a healthy and be slim! It gives lots of recipes for sushi as well as other traditional Japanese food. You can follow Makiko on twitter too! Look her up! She's nice enough to follow us!!

I love Comfort Food by Rick Rodgers. I drool reading it and looking at the pictures. This is not a diet book at all. It's all about butter, cheese, and all things good! This the book I turn to when I need classic, comfort food and I want indulge. The mac & cheese is insanely good.

My absolute favourite book is Barefoot Contessa: Back to Basics by Ina Garten. I love Ina Garten, she is one of my favourite chefs! I love her simple and easy to do approach to cooking. This is my most used book and I read it all the time. Every recipe has a story behind it and it's such a good read. The pumpkin roulade cake is out of this world. I adore the creamy cucumber salad, gravlax, and the tuscan lemon chicken...just to name a few!
So those are some of my favorite books. I also love the likes of Jamie Oliver, Giada De Laurentiis, Lynn Crawford, Susur Lee, and I adore Rachael Ray (I have so many of her books I couldn't pick which one...and I cook with her pans and have her knives...I love her so much.)
So now I'm starving! Let me know what cookbooks you love (because I need more in my life!) Remember to comment!
Bye for now! Bon Appetit
