Wellness Wednesday

Today is a good day. I woke up and read my email (as I always do! I'm an addict) and my only class of the day was canceled! I was so happy to have an imprompteu day off! Score! Although I did have to go to the dentist and the doctors this morning it was so lovely to have a day off. So it's been nice to be home today so I can get a head on school work for my insanely crazy week next week. I was so happy to be home to watch the Liverpool Champions League match live, they did a great job although it ended in a draw. I was proud of my boys Lambert and Henderson today.

Anyway, I want to tell you about a fantastic recipe today. I love cake. Seriously, life is not the same without cake. I've been on a health kick the past few months and have been eating really healthily and working out as much as possible but giving up cake is so hard. But I found this recipe that allows you to eat cake and its only 80 CALORIES! It takes 2 minutes to prepare and it satisfies the cake craving.

Cake in a Mug:
~1 Package/Box of Angle Food Cake Mix
~1 Package/Box of any other flavour cake (I use Red Velvet or Choccolte)
~Microwave safe coffee mug
~1 ziplock bag

1. In your ziplock bag combine the contents of the two cake packages. Seal it and shake it. You store it in the cupboard in the bag.
2. Take your mug and add 3 tablespoons of cake mix into your mug, add 2 tablespoons of water to the mug and stir it.
3. Microwave it for 1 minute and enjoy!

Seriously, it satisfies your cake craving and it's only 80 calories! When I want to make it even more decadent, I add a tablespoon of choccolate chips to it before popping it in the microwave. It satisfies the cravings!

Alright so I'm back off into homework land now my lovelies. I hope you try this recipe out. Trust me it's a keeper. Always have the cake mix bag in the cupboard and you can have cake in less than 2 minutes!
